Meet Tilly. She Answers When You Can't.

Tilly is a friendly AI receptionist for Australian businesses. She picks up when you are busy, finds out what the caller needs, and hands you the details to ring them back.

Early Access From US$29 a Month Australian Voice Always Says She Is an AI

Why It Exists

A Missed Call Is Usually a Lost Job.

Nobody leaves a voicemail for a plumber. They ring the next name on the list, and the first business to pick up gets the work.

The calls you miss are not random. They come while you are on a roof, with a patient, driving between jobs, at lunch, or after five — exactly the moments you cannot stop to answer. Tilly is for those moments. She answers, takes down who called and why, and puts it in front of you so the call back is the first thing you do, not the thing you forget.

How It Works

Four Steps, None of Them Yours

Set it up once. After that, the only step left for you is the call back.

  1. Step 1

    Forward Your Calls

Your receptionist gets its own Australian number. Forward your line to it whenever you cannot answer — after hours, on a job, or all the time.

  2. Step 2

    Tilly Answers

Warmly, in an Australian voice you choose, with a greeting you write. She says she is an AI, then asks how she can help.

  3. Step 3

    She Takes the Details

One question at a time: the caller's name, the best number to call back — read back to confirm — their suburb and what they need.

  4. Step 4

    You Ring Back

The inquiry lands in your inbox with everything above. Mark it contacted, then resolved, as you go.

What Callers Hear

Warm, Friendly, and Honest About What She Is.

Tilly sounds like a good receptionist on a busy day: friendly and natural, happy to chat, but she does not make things up and she never pretends to be a person.

  • Says she is an AI, and that the call is transcribed, straight away
  • Asks one question at a time
  • Reads the phone number back before saving it
  • Offers a call back instead of guessing an answer
  • Never asks for card details or passwords

Try Her Yourself

Call 0468 179 533 (+61 468 179 533 from outside Australia). This is MultiTasker’s own line, and Tilly answers it as a live demo: play a pretend customer and ask her anything you would ask a receptionist. If you want Tilly for your own business, tell her, and she will take your details so we can call you back. The call is transcribed, and each number can try her 3 times a day. Early access is USUS$29 a month plus USUS$0.45 a minute of talk time.

Tilly

Hi, you've reached Sample Street Plumbing. I'm Tilly, the AI receptionist, and this call's transcribed. How can I help?

Caller

Hi — the hot water system in our upstairs bathroom has stopped working.

Tilly

Oh no, that's no fun at all. Let's get someone out to you. Can I grab your name?

Caller

It's Jamie Taylor.

Tilly

Thanks, Jamie. What's the best number to reach you on?

Caller

0491 570 156.

Tilly

That's 0491 570 156 — is that right?

Caller

Yes.

Tilly

And which suburb are you in?

Caller

Bardon.

Tilly

Thanks. I've passed on that the hot water system in your upstairs bathroom has stopped, and someone will call you back on that number.

What You See

Every Inquiry in One Place

Who called, what they need, and who is still waiting for you to ring back.

What It Does

Built to Be Useful on Day One

Everything here exists in the software today.

Your Greeting, Your Words

Write exactly what callers hear first, and pick the Australian voice that says it. Preview it before it goes live.

It Knows Your Business

Give it your services, the areas you cover, your hours and your own FAQs. It answers from those and nothing else.

One Inquiry Inbox

Name, number, suburb and what they need, for every call. Mark each one contacted or resolved, and export to CSV.

Credit You Can See

Each call holds its longest possible cost when it is answered and gives back what it did not use, and every call has a hard time limit, so the bill never surprises you.

Careful by Design

It will not invent prices or availability, will not take payments, and treats anything a caller says as information, not instructions.

Inside Your Portal

Tilly opens from your MultiTasker client portal with one click. Invoices, requests and your receptionist in one place.

  • Sole OperatorsOne person doing the work and answering the phone — which means one of them is not getting done.

Straight Up

What It Does Not Do — Yet

  • Book AppointmentsIt takes the inquiry; you set the time when you call back.
  • Transfer a Live CallBuilt and in final testing: Tilly rings you, says who is calling and connects only when you say yes. It switches on once real calls have gone through end to end.
  • Take PaymentsIt never asks for card details, and never will.
  • Answer Calls the Day You Sign UpWe are connecting Australian numbers now, in the order people sign up. Nothing comes out of your credit until yours is connected.

Plans

Pick a Plan. You’re Set Up in Two Minutes.

One price, every feature. US$29 a month covers your Australian number and hosting; talk time is US$0.45 a minute on top, in US dollars wherever you are. Both come out of credit in the app, so it is one balance and one bill. You start with one first payment of US$40, which pays your first month and starts your call credit — and nothing comes out of it until your number is connected.

How Signing Up Works

Seven Steps, from Sign-Up to Live

The same steps follow you through your portal and into Tilly, each one marked done, your turn or waiting on us.

  1. Step 1: Create Your AccountYou Do This

Your name, your business and your email. No password: we email you a sign-in link.

    CostFree

  2. Step 2: Choose Pay as You Go and Agree to the TermsYou Do This

One plan, every feature. The terms you tick say exactly what is charged and when.

    CostNothing charged

  3. Step 3: Make Your First PaymentYou Do This

At least US$40 on Stripe's secure page, onto your Tilly credit. Your first month (US$29) comes out of it the day your number is connected and the rest is call credit. Stripe keeps your card for automatic top-ups.

    CostToday: US$40 = US$29 first month + US$11 call credit

  4. Step 4: Tell Tilly About Your BusinessYou Do This

Open Tilly from your portal: your services, hours and area under Business Profile, and the greeting callers hear under Receptionist. About five minutes. She answers only from what you give her.

    CostFree

  5. Step 5: Connect Your PhoneWe Do This

We connect an Australian number for your calls and email you when it is ready. A number of your own needs the carrier's address and ID checks first, which we arrange with you.

CostYour first month (US$29) comes out of your credit the day it is connected

  6. Step 6: Make a Test CallYou Do This

In Tilly, switch on Accept Live Calls under Receptionist, then ring your Tilly number from your mobile and check what she says and what she writes down.

CostUS$0.45 a minute from your credit (30-second minimum)

  7. Step 7: Live: Forward Your CallsYou Do This

Forward your business line to your Tilly number whenever you cannot answer: after hours, on a job, or all the time.

CostUS$29 a month + US$0.45 a minute from your credit; your card tops it up by US$10 when it falls below US$5

Today: US$40 — US$29 first month + US$11 call credit (about 24 minutes of calls). Choose more and the extra is call credit.

Then: US$29 a month + US$0.45 a minute from your credit; your card tops it up by US$10 when your credit falls below US$5.

In US dollars. Stripe’s payment page adds any tax due where you are: in Australia, 10% GST unless you tick “I’m purchasing as a business” and give your ABN. Tax is not call credit. With a trial code you pay a US$2 card check instead.

  • No setup fee
  • Australian number included
  • Pay only for minutes used
  • Cancel any time

Tilly is priced and charged in US dollars, in Australia too. You start with one first payment of at least US$40 by card, which goes onto your Tilly credit (it is not paid back as cash, unless you cancel before your number is ever connected); a trial takes a US$2 card check instead. The monthly fee and your call minutes both come out of that credit, and nothing comes out of it until your Australian number is connected. Stripe's payment page adds any tax due where you are: in Australia, 10% GST unless you buy as a business and give your ABN. Tax is not call credit. The card tops your credit up on its own when it runs low or cannot cover the month’s fee; remove it in the billing portal and that stops, along with the service once the credit runs out. The fee is charged in full for any part of a month (not pro-rated). If you cancel, credit left when your service ends is forfeited, not paid back as cash, unless we close your account or stop providing Tilly other than for your breach, or the law requires a refund. If you cancel before your number is ever connected, everything you paid is refunded in full to your card instead, including any tax Stripe added. Charged in advance and renewed automatically until you cancel. Cancel before a billing period starts if you no longer want it: we do not refund change of mind or unused time once a period has started. This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that applies. Covered by our Terms of Service and Refund & Cancellation Policy. Already a MultiTasker client? Questions

Straight Answers

You can sign up today: create your account, choose Pay as you go and make your first payment of at least US$40, which goes onto your Tilly credit. The receptionist is built and tested, and we are connecting Australian phone numbers now, in the order people sign up. It starts answering when your number is connected, and that is when your first month (US$29) comes out of your credit, leaving US$11 for calls from a US$40 first payment. Nothing comes out of your credit before then.

One payment of US$40, or more if you choose: US$29 of it pays your first month the day your number is connected, and the rest is call credit at US$0.45 a minute. Your card is saved so the credit tops up by US$10 whenever it falls below US$5, and nothing else is charged on the day your number goes live. It is charged in US dollars; Stripe's payment page may show it in Australian dollars, and adds any tax due where you are: in Australia, 10% GST unless you tick that you are buying as a business and give your ABN. Tax is not call credit. With a trial code you pay a US$2 card check instead.

Tilly keeps answering to the end of the calendar month (or to the last day of a trial), and you can use your credit until then. Credit left when your service ends is forfeited: it is not paid back as cash. It is refunded instead if we close your account or stop providing Tilly for any reason other than a breach of our terms, and nothing here affects a refund the Australian Consumer Law or any other law gives you. If you cancel before your number is ever connected, so Tilly has never answered a call for you, everything you paid (your first payment or card check, and any top-ups) is refunded in full to your card instead, including any tax Stripe added, automatically after the end of the day you cancel.

With a trial code from us, yes: the days and call minutes stated with the code, starting the day your number is connected, with no monthly fee during it. A card is needed to start: we check it with a US$2 charge that goes onto your Tilly credit and is not paid back as cash (unless you cancel before your number is ever connected, when it is refunded). When the trial ends, Pay as you go starts automatically, with the monthly fee and your calls coming out of your credit and your card topping it up, unless you cancel before it ends. We email you three days before.

US$29 a month for your Australian number and hosting, plus US$0.45 a minute of talk time, in US dollars wherever you are. Both come out of credit you top up, so it is one balance rather than two bills. You start with a first payment of at least US$40, which pays the first month and leaves US$11 of call credit. The fee is taken once each calendar month, in full for any part of a month, starting the day your number is connected: the month your number goes live costs the whole fee whatever the day, because nothing is pro-rated. There is no setup fee, no lock-in and no minimum term, and a call nobody answers costs you nothing.

Your card is topped up automatically before that happens — that is what keeps the phone answered. If a top-up fails, Tilly stops taking calls rather than running up a bill you did not agree to, and we tell you straight away.

Not bookings yet: it takes the inquiry and you call back. Live transfers are built: Tilly rings the people you choose (one at a time or all at once, picked by name, by what they handle, or by a key the caller presses), tells them who is calling and what about, and connects only when they say yes. We switch them on for customers once real calls have been put through end to end.

Yes, if you switch it on. Tilly can text you about each call (every call, inquiries only, or urgent ones only), text a caller a confirmation, or text back someone who hung up first, and pass on the texts they send back. Texts come from Tilly's number, name your business and tell callers how to opt out. Each text costs US$0.10 per 160 characters from your credit; texts you receive are free.

Your receptionist gets its own Australian number. You forward your existing line to it whenever you cannot answer — after hours, on a job, or all the time.

Yes. She says so in her first sentence, and that the call is transcribed — the default greeting is "Hi, you've reached [your business]. I'm Tilly, the AI receptionist, and this call's transcribed. How can I help?" You can reword the greeting, but it must still say she is an AI and that the call is transcribed.

Tilly tells them to call triple zero and does not try to talk anyone through a dangerous repair. She is a receptionist, not an emergency service.

Only from what you give her: your services, the areas you cover, your hours and your own FAQs. She will not guess a price or promise availability. When she does not know, she offers a call back.

Through your MultiTasker client portal. Tilly opens from there with one click — there is no second password to remember.
