Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective August 30, 2026 · Last updated October 2, 2026 · Version 2.1
Placing an order on this website does not charge you. Prices for every package are published on the pricing page, and an order placed through the order form is a request: we confirm the scope and the price in writing first, and an invoice or a payment link follows only after that. This policy applies to every engagement from the day it is confirmed. The exceptions are a paid Findable plan, which you buy by card inside your account and which starts, and is charged, when you pay — see section 5.2 — and adding a card in the client portal, which takes a small card check that is kept as account credit (section 5.5). Buildable plans are chosen in the portal and charged to that card automatically from the day they start (section 5.6). Tilly is chosen in the portal too, but is paid from prepaid credit in the Tilly app, in US dollars: signing up takes a first payment of at least US$40 (a trial, a US$2 card check), kept as Tilly credit and refunded in full if you cancel before your number is ever connected (section 5.7).
1. Scope
This policy explains when you can cancel, when you can expect a refund, and how to ask for one. It applies to all services supplied by MultiTasker LLC — web development, search engine optimization, social media management, web hosting and software-as-a-service — and forms part of our Terms of Service.
Where a signed proposal, statement of work or order form (an “Order”) says something different, the Order applies to that engagement.
2. Currency and Pricing
All fees are quoted and charged in United States dollars (USD), except that clients in Australia are quoted and charged in Australian dollars (AUD), unless the Order states otherwise. The exception is Tilly, which is priced and charged in US dollars everywhere, Australia included, because its credit is held and charged in US dollars (section 5.7). The currency is shown with every price and on every invoice. The price, the billing frequency and any minimum term are set out in writing and agreed before any charge is made. We do not add undisclosed fees.
If you pay with a card issued in another currency, your bank or card issuer may apply a conversion rate and a foreign transaction fee. Those charges are set by your provider, not by us, and are not refundable by us.
3. How Services Are Delivered
Everything we sell is a digital service. Nothing is shipped and there is nothing to return.
- Project work is delivered in stages agreed in the Order, and finally by handing over the completed deliverable — for example by deploying a website, or by transferring files and access.
- Recurring services — hosting, SEO, social media and SaaS — begin on the start date in the Order and are delivered continuously through each billing period.
- Unless the Order says otherwise, work begins within 5 business days of the deposit clearing and of our receiving the content, approvals and access we need from you.
4. One-Off Project Work
- Before work starts. Cancel in writing before we begin and you receive a full refund of anything you have paid, including the deposit.
- After work starts. You may cancel at any time, in writing. We will invoice for work completed and for costs already committed on your behalf up to the cancellation date, and refund the balance of anything you have paid above that amount. We will provide a written breakdown of the hours and costs.
- Deposits. A deposit secures your place in our schedule. Once work has begun, the deposit is applied against work completed and is non-refundable to the extent it has been earned.
- On completion. Once a project has been delivered and accepted, the fee for it is not refunded for a change of mind. Faults in the delivered work are handled under section 7, and section 12 applies to them too.
- If you go quiet. If we cannot progress a project because we are waiting on you, and you do not respond for 60 days despite two written reminders, we may pause the project and invoice for work completed to that point. If it is still waiting on you after 90 days, we may close it, as section 12 of our Terms of Service describes.
5. Recurring Subscriptions
- Cancel any time. Use the Cancel button in your client portal (Tilly, Findable, MultiTasker One and Buildable have one), the cancel link in any reminder we email you, or email support@multitasker.llc from the address on your account. No phone call, no retention process, no cancellation fee.
- A reminder every year. Once a year we email you about each subscription you have with us: what it is, what it costs and how often, and a link that cancels it with one button and no sign-in. A subscription billed yearly or less often is also reminded 30 days before it renews.
- No change-of-mind refunds. Subscriptions renew automatically, and a billing period that has started is not refunded because you changed your mind or did not use it. If you no longer want the service, cancel before the next period starts. Section 12 sets out the rights this does not affect.
- When it takes effect. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep the service until then. We confirm every cancellation by email, usually straight away and always within 2 business days.
- Part periods. Subscription fees are charged in advance and are not refunded pro rata for the remainder of a period you have already paid for, except where section 7 applies or where the law requires otherwise.
- Billed in error. If we charge you after a valid cancellation, or charge the wrong amount, tell us and we will refund it in full — no questions asked.
- Minimum terms. Where an Order has a minimum term, that term is stated clearly before you sign. Canceling inside it may leave the remaining minimum-term fees payable; the Order will say so plainly if that is the case.
- Price changes. We email you 30 days’ notice of any increase to a recurring price, with the date it starts and how to cancel. If you cancel before it takes effect, you are never charged the new rate.
5.1 MultiTasker One
- Cancel from a button. You can end a MultiTasker One subscription yourself in the client portal, in the same place you manage it, without emailing anybody and without a retention step. Email works too.
- Pausing keeps what you paid for. If you pause mid-period, the whole days remaining are recorded and used to defer your next invoice when you come back. They do not expire and they are not forfeited if you never return — ask and we will refund them instead.
- Missed turnaround targets are credited, not refunded. Where we miss a published target and the delay was not spent waiting on you, one week of your monthly fee is credited to your next invoice automatically, capped at one month’s fee per billing period. You do not have to notice or claim it. If you cancel before a credit has been used, we refund it in cash instead.
- Unused months. A month in which you queued nothing is not refunded, because the capacity was reserved and held for you. This is exactly what pausing exists to prevent, and we would far rather you paused. Section 12 still applies.
5.2 Findable Plans
- Billing. Paid Findable plans are charged by card through Stripe, in advance, monthly or yearly as you chose at checkout, and renew automatically at the end of each period until canceled. The price and period are shown before you pay, and sales tax, VAT or GST is added at checkout where it applies.
- Sold through Link. Findable plans are sold through Stripe’s Managed Payments service, in which Stripe, through its Link service, is the seller of record. Your card statement shows
LINK.COM*, receipts come from Link, and you can also manage or cancel the subscription, or ask for billing help, at link.com. This policy still applies between you and us. - Cancel from a button. Cancel on your plan page in the portal (/portal/findable/billing/) in one click, or by email. It takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and you can undo it until then. Your account then moves to the free plan; nothing is deleted.
- Changing plan. An upgrade or downgrade applies straight away. The difference for the rest of the current period is calculated to the day and added to, or credited against, your next invoice.
- Part periods. Section 5 applies: a period already paid for is not refunded pro rata, but a charge made after a valid cancellation, or for the wrong amount, is refunded in full.
5.3 Trials
- What a trial is. Trials are offered on Tilly, with a trial code: the days and up to the call minutes stated with the code, starting the day your Australian number is connected, with no monthly fee during it.
- A card is needed to start. The only charge during the trial is the US$2 card check in section 5.5, which goes onto your Tilly credit.
- It becomes Pay as you go automatically. When the trial ends, the monthly fee and your calls come out of your Tilly credit and your card is charged automatically to top it up (section 5.7), every month until you cancel. The date is shown before you sign up and in your portal.
- We remind you first. We email you three days before the trial ends.
- Cancel before it ends and no monthly fee is charged. Cancel from the Tilly page in your portal at any time during the trial. The card check stays on your Tilly credit (section 5.5); if you cancel before your number is ever connected, it is refunded to your card instead (section 5.7). If you do not cancel in time, the first month is charged and, as with any subscription, is not refunded for change of mind (section 5). Section 12 still applies.
- One trial per business. Trial codes can be limited in number, date or minutes, as stated with the code.
5.4 Current Promotion
- The offer. Findable Starter for A$14 a month instead of A$45, or A$140 a year instead of A$450, billed by card.
- Who gets it. Anyone who starts a Findable Starter subscription while the offer is shown on this website. The discount is applied at checkout; there is no code to enter.
- How long it lasts. The offer price stays on that subscription for as long as it remains active, including after the offer closes to new customers. It is not subject to the 30-day price-change notice in our terms because it does not change.
- When it ends for you. Moving the subscription to another plan removes the offer; moving back to Starter while the offer is still open restores it, and switching between monthly and yearly Starter while it is open keeps it. If the subscription is canceled and ends, a later subscription is charged the price advertised at that time.
- What it does not cover. The other plans are charged at their normal prices. It cannot be exchanged for cash or combined with another discount.
- Ending the offer. MultiTasker LLC may stop offering it to new subscribers at any time. Doing so does not change the price for anyone already on it.
5.5 The Card Check
- What it is. When you add a card to your client portal we charge $2 (A$2 on an Australian-dollar account) to confirm the card is real and can be charged. For Tilly the card is saved in the Tilly app instead: a Tilly trial’s check is US$2 for everyone, and a Pay as you go sign-up saves its card with its first payment instead (section 5.7). You can try either at most three times a day.
- Where it goes. The full amount goes on your account as credit: in the portal, it comes off your next invoice in the same currency automatically; for Tilly, it goes onto your Tilly call credit, where the monthly fee and your calls come out of it.
- Not paid back as cash. The credit is not refunded in cash, including if you close your account or cancel a trial before anything else is charged. The exception is Tilly: a Tilly card check is refunded in full to your card if you cancel before your number is ever connected (section 5.7). Section 12 still applies.
5.6 Automatic Card Payment
- What is charged. While a card is on file in your client portal, every invoice we issue you is charged to it on the day it is issued, including any invoice that is still open when you add the card, and you get a receipt by email. Findable is billed separately (section 5.2).
- If a payment fails. We email you a link to pay and try the card again 1, 3, 7 and 14 days after the invoice date.
- Stopping it. Remove the card at any time from Billing in the portal. Nothing more is charged to it, and later invoices are emailed to you with a link to pay.
5.7 Tilly Call Credit
- What it is. Tilly is paid from prepaid credit held in your Tilly account, in US dollars wherever you are. You add it by card in the Tilly app, through Stripe; the larger top-ups carry a bonus, shown before you pay. Nothing Tilly costs is invoiced by the client portal.
- Your card, up front. Before a Tilly plan starts, your card is saved with Stripe by your first payment: at least US$40, which goes onto this credit. The month’s fee below comes out of it the day your number is connected, and the rest is call credit. Before a trial starts, your card is checked with a US$2 charge that goes onto this credit instead (section 5.5).
- Tax. A payment on Stripe’s payment page is sold through Link, Stripe’s merchant of record, which adds any tax due on top of the price: Australian GST of 10% unless you buy as a business and give your ABN. The tax is not call credit; your credit is the price.
- What comes out of it. US$29 a month for your Australian number and hosting, taken once each calendar month, the first time on the day your number is connected; and US$0.45 a minute of talk time, with a 30-second minimum per answered call. A call nobody answers costs nothing. Nothing comes out of your credit before your number is connected.
- Part months. The monthly fee is charged in full for any part of a calendar month: the month your number goes live, or a trial ends, costs the whole US$29 whatever the day, and so does the month a cancellation runs to. It is not pro-rated.
- Automatic top-ups. The card you pay with is saved with Stripe, and your chosen top-up amount is charged to it automatically when your balance falls below your trigger, or cannot cover the month’s fee when it falls due, at most three times a day. Every top-up is emailed to you.
- Stopping them. Remove the card in the billing portal inside Tilly. Nothing more is charged to it; your remaining credit stays on your account, and Tilly stops answering when it runs out.
- Cancelling. Cancel from the Tilly page in your client portal. Tilly keeps answering to the end of the calendar month whose fee has been taken (or to the end of a running trial), and nothing more comes out of your credit after that. The fee for a month that has started, and minutes already used, are not refunded for change of mind (section 5). Section 12 still applies.
- Your credit when you cancel. Credit left on your Tilly account when your service ends after you cancel is forfeited: it is not paid back as cash (unless you cancel before your number is ever connected: see the next point). We tell you the date when you cancel, so you can use it first, and email you the amount when it happens. It is refunded instead if we close your account or stop providing Tilly for any reason other than your breach of our terms. Nothing here affects a refund the Australian Consumer Law or any other law gives you (section 12), including for a service that does not meet the consumer guarantees.
- If you cancel before your number is connected. If you cancel before your number is ever connected — so Tilly has never answered a call for you and no monthly fee has been taken — nothing is forfeited: everything you paid is refunded in full to your card, including any tax Stripe added: your first payment (or a trial’s card check) and any top-ups. The refund is made automatically after the end of the day you cancel (UTC), and we email you the amounts; your bank may take several business days to show it. If you sign up again before then, the credit stays on your account instead.
- Refunds and disputes. If a top-up is refunded, or its card payment is disputed, that amount and any bonus it earned come off your credit, even below zero. Calls then stop and automatic top-ups are switched off until the balance is back above zero.
6. Domains and Third-Party Costs
Some items we buy on your behalf are non-refundable once purchased, because the third party will not refund us. These include domain name registrations, renewals and transfers; SSL certificates bought from a commercial authority; paid plugins, themes, fonts, stock imagery and software licenses; and advertising spend already placed with an advertising platform.
We will always tell you before committing you to a non-refundable third-party cost.
7. If We Get It Wrong
If a deliverable does not match what the Order described, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we will correct it at no charge, as the warranty in section 21 of our Terms of Service says. This is our first and preferred remedy. The 30 days apply to this promise only; they do not shorten the time you have to rely on the rights in section 12.
If we cannot correct a material defect within a reasonable time, you may cancel the affected part of the engagement and we will refund the fees paid for it.
Hosting availability. Where an Order includes a service level for uptime and we fall below it in a calendar month through our own fault, you may claim a service credit as set out in that Order. Downtime caused by your own code or content, by a third-party network, or by an event outside our reasonable control is excluded.
What is not a defect. Search engine rankings, traffic volumes, social media reach and follower numbers are controlled by third-party platforms and are not guaranteed. A result falling short of a forecast is not by itself a defect and is not refundable. If we have failed to perform the agreed work, that is a different matter and this section applies.
8. When We Cannot Refund
Except where section 12 gives you a right to one, which nothing in this list takes away, refunds are not available:
- for work that has been completed and accepted in line with the Order;
- for time already spent on an engagement you later cancel;
- for non-refundable third-party costs described in section 6;
- for a change of mind about a service that has already been delivered;
- for a subscription period that has already started, on a change of mind or because it was not used — including the first period after a trial that was not canceled in time;
- for unused Tilly credit left when a Tilly service you canceled ends (section 5.7), except where we closed the account or stopped providing Tilly other than for your breach, or you canceled before your number was ever connected;
- where an outcome depends on a third-party platform we do not control and the agreed work was in fact performed; or
- where the account has been suspended or terminated for a breach of our Acceptable Use Policy.
9. How to Request a Refund
Email billing@multitasker.llc with:
- the name on the account and the invoice or receipt number;
- the date and amount of the charge; and
- what went wrong and what you would like us to do.
We acknowledge every request within 2 business days and give you a decision, with reasons, within 10 business days. If we need more information we will ask for it promptly rather than letting the request sit.
10. How Refunds Are Paid
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. We submit the refund within 5 business days of approving it. Your bank or card issuer then controls when the money appears, which typically takes a further 5 to 10 business days.
We do not charge a processing or administration fee on a refund.
11. Disputes and Chargebacks
Please talk to us first. Almost every billing problem is resolved faster by email than by a chargeback, and we would rather fix it than argue about it.
If you file a chargeback we will respond to your card issuer with the Order, the record of work performed and our correspondence with you. We may suspend services while a disputed amount is outstanding. Filing a chargeback for an amount that is properly owed does not extinguish the debt.
Nothing in this section prevents you from exercising a genuine right to dispute an unauthorized or fraudulent transaction with your bank.
12. Your Statutory Rights
This policy sits alongside your legal rights; it does not replace them. Nothing here limits any right you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your place of residence, and where such a law gives you a better outcome than this policy, that law applies.
In Australia: our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us, and to a refund for the unused portion or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.
The benefits this policy gives you are in addition to the other rights and remedies you have under a law in relation to our services.
